We're back baby!!!
Tbh the only person waiting with bated breath for this site to come back up was anna (hi anna), but I felt this post was in order anyways to mark my return because MAN. Not only was I gone WAAAY longer than I anticipated (it was well worth it, but boy was I antsy!) but the reason my site came down to begin with is a long, sorta painful story that I'm not going to get into here. Just know that it has a happy end, and the extra time away motivated me to lock in on making my site even better than before, so in my eyes it was all kind of worth it. it's funny how things work out sometimes!
Going foward, my plan is to slowly transition to full-time posting here. I've firmly decided that I don't want art to be my career path anymore- my expression is something that I've fiercely guarded my whole life, but feels especially important to hold close in times like this. I've been studying (on my own OTL) to go into a different field altogether, and my hope is to secure a job in said field so I don't need to rely on unstable websites, algorithims, luck, and charisma to make ends meet with my art. I really REALLY just want to be a guy online at this point in my life under no obligation to share myself, and when I DO share it's out of a genuine desire for connection and not to market myself or fight for relevency. My art being used in this way has been the source of one of my greatest, most painful inner conflicts and so I'm throwing my claws up at this point!
As far as things I have planned on the site side of things, per my last entry, I would love to make a "playground" page where I host shrines. That will most likely be the section of the site that is most individualized on the alter side of things, since we have specific interests we'd want to highlight and talk about. I would eventually like to transfer the Encyclopedia Zyterrium to this site as well, along with simple intro pages for each of the stories within the setting. I've been chewing on the idea of a links page too but...to be honest, beyond hosting people's buttons, I don't really see a point to a page like this so I'm hesitant. It does still feel like a nice gesture though especially if I have my own button so we'll see. Very big undertakings, but the .world domain was a very intentional choice from me. I want this space to be a one-stop shop for everything Me!
