Well. They've done a poor job of convincing me from their actions so far because I'm unwell (SORRY EUINI BUT I WOULD HAVE GIVEN ANYTHING TO TRADE PLACES WITH YOU), but ON PAPER the brimmed caps also hold a deeply flawed philosophy. They're like magical libertarians.

 

 

They believe it is the natural order of things for those with magic to be able to self-actualize in the way they want to with no limitations put on them, but if that's the case it seemingly has the same failings of libertarianism in that it assumes that all people are rational, benevelant, and considerate of others. We already know witch society holds biases towards those unlike them. A baby doesn't suddenly stop sucking its thumb just because you give it a sandbox to play in. Behavior that is ingrained will be carried over, and I do not imagine it would take long before an individual or group of people decide they wish to self-actualize by subjugating those they deem inferior to them in increasingly arbitrary ways.

The freaking brimmed caps themselves feel they are justified to hurt innocent people to ensure the reality they want....how do you expect people who behave like this to play nice in a world where other people could hypothetically be in the blast radius of the reality THEY want??? 😭

It's fascinating. In this world, one side has no faith in humanity at all so it controls them into submission, and the other side has way too much faith in humanity despite being an example of why you shouldn't lmao.
